We also quote Mini Service and Premium Battery & Reseal after checking the watch. Suitable uncoated stainless-steel polishing starts from £50, cleaning from £10 and bracelet adjustment from £9.95. Glass, straps, coated finishes and specialist parts are quoted individually. We confirm the final price before work begins.

No. Conventional quartz Mayfair models use batteries, while mechanical watches such as the automatic GMT and B347 do not. We check the exact reference and movement before suggesting a service. Solar-powered or specialist electronic models need a separate assessment rather than an ordinary battery replacement.

Coated surfaces need particular care. Abrasive polishing can remove or alter DLC, PVD and other coloured finishes, so our £50 starting price applies only to suitable uncoated stainless steel. Carbon and ceramic parts also need different treatment. We assess the material first and explain whether cleaning, specialist finish work or a replacement component is the appropriate route.

We check availability for the exact reference and any customisation before promising a part. A movement component may be available even when a bespoke dial, hand, coated case part or limited-edition strap is not. Straps are matched to the width, lug shape, fittings and clasp; price depends on your choice. Bracelet adjustment starts from £9.95 where the existing links and fittings allow it, with extra links or damaged components quoted separately.

A test does not increase the original rating or mean every watch is suitable for swimming. If moisture is visible under the glass, stop wearing the watch and arrange an assessment promptly.

Repairs under £50, assessments and warranty returns carry a £15 postal charge.
